Apollo Express, Inc., was established in August, 1999, by four transportation professionals committed to providing excellent service with flexibility that would meet the unique needs of our customers. Collectively, this team brought over 100 years experience in management, sales, and operations to the new company. Adherence to our vision has allowed the company to enjoy tremendous growth since its inception.
Growth in our customer base has paralleled the growth and diversity in our fleet. From our humble beginnings of one truck and trailer, the Apollo Express fleet has grown in five years to over 65 vehicles, including cargo vans, straight trucks, tractors, and trailers. This diverse fleet has allowed us to provide flexible transportation solutions to our customers.
Like the growth of our fleet, our facilities have also continued to grow. When Apollo Express first opened for business, it operated out of a 100 square-foot office. The company is now housed in a 5000 square-foot office with an adjacent warehouse and dock, allowing for storage, crossdock and distribution services.
In addition to our fleet and facilities growth, our service3 offerings have expanded as well. In August, 2003, Apollo Transportation Solutions (ATS) was formed to provide brokerage and third-party logistics services to our customers. ATS is a stand-alone, non-asset based operation located within the offices of Apollo Express.
By combining a variety of flexible services, 24-hour availability, Apollo Express and Apollo Transportation Solutions provide virtually claims free(99.6% on-time delivery), claim free (<0.02%) on-time delivery (>99.6%) to our customers.
